Architectural Request Note Authors
Manager release notes, 9 September 2026, Version Architectural request note author attribution. Published on frontsteps.com/release-notes.
What’s Improved
Architectural Request Note Authors
Notes on architectural requests now show who actually wrote them.
Previous Behavior:
Notes added to architectural requests by residents, board members, and other non-manager users could display a generic “API User” as the author instead of the person who wrote the note. Only manager notes consistently showed the author’s name, so other users sometimes typed their own name into the note body just to be identified. This made it harder for review committees and managers to follow the discussion on a request.
Resolution:
Architectural request notes now display the name of the person who added them, whatever their role. Managers, board members, and review committees can see who said what on a request without extra steps.
