Statement Runs in FRONTSTEPS Manager
Community Association Managers and Accounting staff can now create, run, and deliver homeowner statement batches directly from FRONTSTEPS Manager — no Caliber Desktop required.
Feature OverviewThe Create Statement screen brings the full statement run workflow to the browser. From a single page, users select the communities and transaction accounts to include, configure statement content, and choose how statements should be delivered — all using the bank, coupon, late fee, and ACH/FSPay configuration already set up in Caliber, with no re-entry required.
From the Create Statement screen, users can:
- Select communities and transaction accounts to include in the run, with an optional balance-range filter to narrow which owners are picked up.
- Configure statement content, including adding a detachable payment coupon or generating a print-as-invoice version that shows only outstanding charges as of the statement end date.
- Choose specific owners, filtering by current, prior, or both, instead of generating statements for every homeowner in a community.
- Preview a delivery summary — a live count of owners by delivery type (Email, Mail, Email + Mail, Total) — before committing to a run, so the right owners are included every time.
- Run statements without blocking their browser. Batches process in the background with a real-time progress indicator, and users get a completion notification whether they stay on the page or navigate elsewhere in Manager.
Once a run completes, statements are delivered as a local PDF download and/or emailed to owners via Hydra, based on each community’s mail matrix settings. Owners with an active ACH or FSPay scheduled payment are automatically excluded when the community setting is enabled, and a copy of each statement is saved to the owner’s record in Caliber by default.
If a run includes email delivery, users are offered a link to the Statement Email Report directly from the completion notification. The report lists each homeowner who was emailed a statement, the address(es) used, their community, and a delivery status of Sent or Failed. Any failures are clearly highlighted with a human-readable reason (for example, an invalid email address), and the report can be exported or printed for record-keeping.
This release does not yet include delivery through the FRONTSTEPS Print Center (PagePerPage); that capability, along with the rest of the statement run experience, is planned for a future release.
This feature is available on web only. Benefits
- Run Statements From Anywhere: Statement batches no longer require a specific desktop machine — CAMs and accounting staff can initiate and monitor a run from any browser, in the office or in the field.
- No More Blocked Workstations: Because runs process asynchronously, users can keep working in Manager while a batch generates, instead of watching a local machine sit idle until it finishes.
- Confidence Before You Run: The pre-run delivery summary shows exactly how many owners will receive statements by email, mail, or both, so mistakes are caught before generation instead of after.
- Precise Owner Targeting: Balance-range filtering and owner-level selection make it easy to run statements for the exact set of homeowners a batch is meant for, without extra manual work.
- Delivery Confidence, Built In: The Statement Email Report gives staff immediate visibility into what was sent and what failed, with human-readable reasons that make troubleshooting fast — no need to escalate to support.
- Consistent With Existing Setup: Bank details, coupon layouts, and late fee configuration are read directly from Caliber, so there’s nothing new to configure to start running statements in Manager.
