Homeowner Ledger View
Manager release notes, 29 May 2026, Version Homeowner Ledger View. Published on frontsteps.com/release-notes.
What’s New
Homeowner Ledger View
View a homeowner’s complete transaction history right from the unit record.
The new Ledger tab on the Unit landing page lets staff select any owner account and see every transaction with posting date, description, amount, open amount, and running balance — plus both the selected ledger balance and the total unit balance. Click any transaction to see related payments and GL entries, filter by date, type, and status, and spot entries flagged under an open delinquency. Available on web with a responsive mobile view. Requires AR transaction view and transaction account view permissions.
- Faster account research: answer billing questions and confirm payment history from one screen.
- Clear balance context: selected ledger balance and total unit balance are always labeled.
- Built for scanning: the key amount columns stay pinned on desktop as you scroll.
Data Hierarchy Navigation Panel
Browse your entire portfolio and jump straight to any landing page.
A new Data Hierarchy option in the side navigation opens a panel showing divisions, clients, communities, groups, and units. Drill forward and back through each level, or search directly by homeowner name, address, community, division, or group. Click a community or unit to go straight to its landing page; your current selection stays highlighted. The panel shows only what you have permission to access, and is available on mobile via the hamburger menu as a full-screen view.
- A second path to every record: browse your portfolio instead of searching by name.
- Familiar navigation that lowers the learning curve as teams move more of their day into Manager.
- Search built in across every level of the hierarchy.
Unit & Unit Account Notes
Capture, edit, and manage notes on a unit or account — with the latest note surfaced on the landing page.
The Notes tab now combines unit notes and unit account notes in one log, with unit account notes tagged and labeled with the contact name. A Latest Note section previews the most recent entry on the Unit landing page. Staff can add notes with a note type, category, visibility setting, and attachments; you can edit or delete notes you authored, with a brief undo window after deletion. Note type is set at creation and cannot be changed afterward. Available on web and mobile.
- Shared context for your whole team: account history lives on the record, not in inboxes.
- The latest note front and center on the Unit landing page.
- Author-controlled editing keeps the log trustworthy, with undo to prevent mistakes.
