How to Install a Chrome Browser Extension

1. Open Google Chrome:
   1. Make sure you are using the Google Chrome browser on your computer.
2. Visit the Chrome Web Store:
   1. In the address bar at the top of the browser, type https://chrome.google.com/webstore and press Enter.
3. Search for the Extension:
   1. In the Chrome Web Store, you will see a search bar at the top of the page. Type FRONTSTEPS and press Enter.
4. Select the Extension:
   1. From the search results, select FRONTSTEPS Manager. Click on the extension’s name to open its details page.
5. Add the Extension to Chrome:
   1. On the extension’s details page, you will see a blue button that says “Add to Chrome.” Click on it.
6. Confirm the Installation:
   1. A pop-up window will appear, asking for confirmation and showing the permissions the extension needs. Click “Add Extension” to confirm and start the installation.
7. Wait for Installation:
   1. Chrome will download and install the extension automatically. You may see a notification once the installation is complete.
8. Access the Extension:
   1. After installation, you can find the extension’s icon in the upper-right corner of the Chrome browser, near the address bar. If you don’t see it, click on the puzzle piece icon (Extensions icon) and pin your new extension for easy access.

Using the Extension

1. Open the Extension:
   1. In the Extension bar in the top right of your Chrome browser, click on the FRONTSTEPS icon.
2. Sign into the Extension:
   1. You will be prompted to put in your email address and click “Continue.” Be sure to use the same email that you sign into the FRONTSTEPS Manager with.
   2. A one-time code will be emailed to you. Enter it into the prompt.
3. Using the Extension:
   1. You can now navigate the extension on the right side of your browser.
   2. You can click the plus (+) symbol at the top of the extension to manually create a new Step.
   3. You can also use your mouse to select text within the page you are browsing, right-click, “Manager: Create Step” from the menu text. A new Step will be opened in the extension where you can set specific details and click “Submit.”
   4. You will see your new Step in FRONTSTEPS Manager as well as within the extension.
   5. You can close the extension by clicking the small “x” at the top-right of the extension.
   6. You can select text any time, right-click, select the extension, and it will automatically open the extension again.

How to Install a Google Chrome Extension in Microsoft Edge

Since Microsoft Edge is built on the Chromium engine, it supports Google Chrome extensions. Follow these steps to install a Chrome browser extension in Microsoft Edge:

1. Open Microsoft Edge:
   1. Make sure you have Microsoft Edge open on your computer.
2. Enable Extensions from Other Stores:
   1. Click on the three dots (Settings and more) in the upper-right corner of the Edge browser.
   2. Select “Extensions” from the drop-down menu.
   3. Select “Manage extensions” from the menu.
   4. At the bottom-left corner of the Extensions page, you will see a toggle switch labeled “Allow extensions from other stores.” Turn this toggle on and confirm by clicking “Allow.”
3. Visit the Chrome Web Store:
   1. In the address bar, type https://chrome.google.com/webstore and press Enter.
4. Search for the Extension:
   1. Use the search bar at the top of the Chrome Web Store page to type in “FRONTSTEPS” and press Enter.
5. Select the Extension:
   1. From the search results, find FRONTSTEPS Manager. Click on the extension’s name to open its details page.
6. Add the Extension to Edge:
   1. On the extension’s details page, click the “Get” button.
7. Confirm the Installation:
   1. A pop-up window will appear, asking for confirmation and showing the permissions the extension needs. Click “Add extension” to confirm and start the installation.
8. Wait for Installation:
   1. Edge will download and install the extension automatically. You may see a notification once the installation is complete.
   2. You can pin the extension to the top bar by clicking on the puzzle icon, click the three dots to the right of FRONTSTEPS Manager, select “Show in toolbar.”
