Admin/Manager - EMAIL BULLETINS - Error when sending
We’re updating this article. Some screenshots or names may look older than what you see in the product.
When sending an ebulletin, you may run into this error message:

There are a few different causes for this error message.
1. The file size exceeds the maximum allowed for ebulletins. Attachments must be under 2 MB or 2,000 KB. If the document exceeds this size, you have several options. Try using a compression service such as Adobe, if you have that software. Use a free compression service like smallpdf.com. If it is a scanned copy of a paper document, try re-scanning it at a slightly lower resolution.
2. If you do not have an attachment or your attachment is under the limit, then there is likely a portion of the email content that is triggering our firewall. Common triggers are combination of letters and symbols that the firewall can interpret as being part of a malicious command. You can test for this by trying to save your text as a custom community template. If it will not save, it is likely the text that is the issue.
Some of these include:
1. The word "compile" in any context.
2. The word "system" when it has a parenthesis next to it. Example: system (sprinkler)
3. The words AND, IF and OR if they are in capital letters, followed by a number. Example: OR 1234
If this happens, please send us an email with a copy of the text to [email protected] so that we can compare it to our firewall error logs.
